Digital Rights

My name is María Beatriz Jiménez, I have an LL.B. of Universidad del Rosario, a Graduate Diploma in Human Rights and International Humanitarian Law of the same university and I am a Candidate for LL.M. in International Legal Studies of New York University. During my studies in NYU, I conducted various research projects and clinics in which I analyzed the role of technologies in human rights, especially in the health and migration fields. In addition, I worked as a fellow in a project of Unwanted Witness, an NGO based in Kampala, Uganda, whose aim is to protect digital rights in online platforms. I have experience working in the public sector on Information and Communication Technologies at the international level and participated in international scenarios such as the Pacific Alliance, the Andean Community, the OECD, the WTO and the Sixth Ministerial Conference of the Information Society for Latin America and the Caribbean led by ECLAC.
